REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

These Required Release Forms are the only “pre-production work” your team is allowed to do before the race.
Please provide all signed forms on your USB drive when you submit your film.

 

LOCATION RELEASE FORM

With this Location Release Form, we want to know where your film production is taking place and if you have the authority to film on the premises. When the owner signs the Location Release he or she releases his or her rights to the filmed material, so that you retain all rights.

 

TALENT RELEASE FORM

This document that gives you, the filmmaker, the rights to film another person for your project and then to use that footage in your film. Simply fill out the respective fields and make sure that each form is signed and dated. If your talent is under the age of 18, you must get the parent or legal guardian to sign the form as well.

**DTTW requests that anyone recognizable or using the likeness of must sign the Talent Release form. This includes anyone from strangers to someone on your Registered Team. Please be aware of filming in public locations as this form applies.

 

MUSIC RELEASE FORM

Once you've found the perfect song or musician for your film, and you've gotten the go-ahead from the artist or copyright owner, you'll need to sign the Music Release form. If you're a musician or the composer, you will need to sign this form.

  • You own rights to property, such as music, songs, video, which another party will be allowed to use in its multimedia production.

  • Wish to acquire the right to use certain property, such as music, songs, video, owned by one person or organization.

**DTTW does not allow copyrighted music. You are allowed to use Royalty-Free music if you have the rights. We do not need a Music Release form. Please fill out a form to note that you have utilized stock or public domain music.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: Film Details & Team Credits

PRODUCERS: This form is REQUIRED to be filled out by the time you submit your film at 7:00am on Sunday morning. Please provide your Team #, Film Name, Synopsis, and any additional crew credits.
